In 1959 the embryonic club met at the Hotel Australia in Warwick Road Kenilworth under Rotarian Roy Dolphin of the Rotary club of Lichfield (District Extension Officer) and Rotarians Jim Philips and Bill Lawrence of the Rotary Club of Coventry (sponsors from our mother club). The interim club later moved its venue to the Abbey Hotel.
The Interim Club was formed on May 18th, 1960, the club received its charter on August 18th and celebrated its furst Charter Night at the Abbey Hotel, Kenilworth, on 18th November, 1960.
