Christmas Dinner 2002

The Rotary Club of Kenilworth honoured the Mayor of Kenilworth, Councillor John Hatfield by presenting him with the Rotary Citizen of the Year Award. Those who have worked or served with him in various spheres of public life describe him as “Passionate about Kenilworth”. He has a declared interest in the future of young people, a former scout leader with over 25 years service. He has played a major role in ensuring the survival of Kenilworth’s Annual Carnival serving on the Carnival Committee for 18 years, several of them as chairman, and continuing this year as president. He has been a trustee of the William Edwards Educational Charity for over 10 years. He was presented with the Citizen of the Year Award by President Bernard Beadle.
