Stroke Awareness Day : April 5th 2003

As a national and international organization, Rotary aims to make a difference by clubs acting together to serve the public. On April 5th 2003, Rotary Clubs in Britain and Ireland set up information centres to highlight the problems of heart attack, offering free bloodpressure readings and advice in collaboration with the Stroke Association. Kenilworth Rotary, headed by local Pharmacist Dr Richard Poynter, made their contribution by setting up shop in Talisman Square.

Rotary offers information to the general public in Talisman Square.

Rotarian Richard Poynter uses his professional expertise as a pharmacist to read the blood pressure of Mrs Gwen Atkinson...

... and gives advice to active businessman, Peter Roberts.

Rotarians Jan Watson, President Bernard Beadle and Arnold Bolton.

Local thespian Philip Highley is thoughtful as he awaits to hear the result of his reading.
