Louise Willgrass FundIn December 2004, a tsunami in the Indian Ocean devastated the surrounding shoreline killing 300,000 people. Among them was Louise Willgrass, on holiday with her husband Nigel and their four children. The Louise Willgrass Tsunami Fund was set up in her memory and the Rotary Club of Kenilworth, who had collected £3,000 from the Kenilworth public, donated the collection to the fund of the then Mayor of Kenilworth, Pauline Edwards. Pauline saw Nigel Willgrass and the children on GMTV and decided immediately that she would donate £4,000 to the fund, which she presented to Mike and Jane Cornwell , the parents of Louise Willgrass, in company with Rotary President Zig Layton-Henry and collection organizer, Arnold Bolton. |
