The Two Castles Run, organised by the Rotary Club of Kenilworth, is run from Warwick Castle to Kenilworth Castle every year since 1983. The first run with 450 runners began in Warwick Castle and ending in Kenilworth Castle Car Park. In 2005, with over 2,000 runners registered, the start was transferred to the larger area in St Nicholas Park and the finish inside Kenilworth Castle itself. With the introduction of electronic timing in 2008 and the recording of precise times from crossing the start line to crossing the finish, it has become possible to begin again inside Warwick Castle. In 2010 the Two Castles Run will begin within Warwick Castle and end within Kenilworth Castle approaching the finish for the first time across the Tiltyard to the main entrance. It will also incorporate the Warwickshire Amateur Athletic 10 Kilometre Championship.
