The Run involved 104 marshals, 40 organising the finish in Kenilworth Castle, with the Guides manning water stations and the Scouts providing general help. The St John Ambulance provided 2 ambulances and accompanying paramedics. There are 200 crowd control barriers, 4 buses to ferry runners back to Warwick, 3 large vans to transport kit, 10,000 printed sheets for the runners applications and instructions on the day, 400 letters to residents affected by road closures around the castle. With the help of many other local organisations and the police, Kenilworth Rotary is able to stage an event which last year raised in excess of £50,000 for charity.
The 26th Rotary Two Castles Run on Sunday June 8th 2008 included two innovations: timing was done automatically by electronic chips and applications were made online by debit or credit card in addition to post by cheque. 90% of the entries were online.
