On Monday December 6th, Rotarian Phil Highley tells his tale of his ‘road to emmaus', a trip round all 18 emmaus communities in England using his OAP free bus pass. Phil raised £1,000 for Emmaus, a charity which gives a home and work to those who need to refocus their lives.

For the 9th year running the Rotary Club of Kenilworth are providing the residents of Kenilworth with the opportunity to remember loved ones by sponsoring a bulb on the Tree of Light which will  is located in Talisman Square.

This year the money raised will be in support of Macmillan Cancer support. Application form here.



Kenilworth Rotary participate in the Ceremony of Switching on the Kenilworth Lights, with their soup kitchen on Warwick Road and the Tree of Light in Talisman Square for Macmillan Cancer Support.

Rotarians and their partners celebrated our charter anniversary, and the publication of the book Fifty Years of Rotary in Kenilworth.

On Monday 25th October, the club welcomed the returning District GSE Team who had visited South Island, New Zealand and recollected their experiences. President Graham Tall is presented with a GSE Team badge by team leader Carolyn McLaughlin from the Wylde Green Rotary Club and is photographed with two of the team members, Raffaella Tentindo and Richard Noyes. District Governor, David Butler, visiting the club on Monday 27th September, to speak of his vision for his Rotary Year.
On September 8th, President Graham Tall, with John Boothroyd, welcoming new member Richard Martin into the club.
On August 9th, Heather Alford spoke to the club about her work with lepers in Nepal. She was given a donation to support her work. The meeting concluded with Past District Governor Lorna Beedham presenting the club with the Rotary Citation for achievement in the presidential year 2009-2010. July, 19th, Nilio speaks of his development of Brazilian style soccer school for mixed ability girls and boys in Kenilworth.

Bernard Beadle, who passed away last year, was a speaker in absentia at the club meeting on July 12th. The club listened to a talk on the life of Douglas Bader given on the Kenilworth Talking News, accompanied by photographs and videos from the war years.

On Monday July President Graham Tall congratulates Rotarian Keith Dixon on being installed as President Elect.

Speaker, David Swain, of Leamington Rotary Club speaks of his experience working for Cadbury’s in a range of culturally different countries round the world.
The club is now celebrating 50 years since its inauguration.

On Monday June 21st, Zoë Rose, Chair of the Maya Childcare Trust spoke about the charity which supports a children’s day care centre in Guatamala.

President Philip signs to approve the formation of the University of Warwick Rotaract Club under the auspices of the Rotary Club of Kenilworth, in the presence of Charlotte Rheams, District 1060 Rotaract Officer.


The 28th Two Castles Run began at 9am on Sunday June 6th and ended in Kenilworth Castle. Results and photographs are here.

On Monday May 17th, the Rotary Club of Kenilworth celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Inaugural Meeting of the formation of the Interim Rotary Club of Kenilworth. A presentation celebrating the history of the club was given by Rotarian Arnold Bolton.

The meeting doubled as the President's Night, attended by the District Governor Lorna Beedham and the Town Mayor Richard Davies.

Richard surprised the club by presenting them with the Town's Award of Merit for service to the community.
